Recently installed 2 PRI circuits coming from a DMS100 to an Opt81C. 2 PRI's 2 DCH's. Trunks are going into lockout occasionaly. I try and disable and reenable channel and it stays locked out. It will free up if the DMS tech "posts" the channel. Can someone tell me if I should change my programing?

Thanx

I'd change your IFC value (RDB and ADAN) to D100 if you are interfacing to a DMS 100.

Make sure your T-1/DS-1 is running clean.

You have CO_type set to ATT in the D-Channel. Verify that the CO is a 5ESS otherwise set to STD for Nortel CO's. Also the RLS ID = 1 does not look right. With Nortel CO's this is usually set for 36 which may be wrong but likely better than 1. Not sure about 5ESS/ATT CO's.

Will we loose NI-2 functionality by mmaking the IFC=D100 in the RDB?

Did you do the above? you said you are cnnected to DMS100 but your Dchannel indicate NI2 with AT&T switch.

Also verify DMS100 is setup for NI2 and Turn off Serv if it is on.

Not sure if the DMS100 is set up for NI2 or not..will check tomorrow...not sure if I can set IFC for D100 and NI-2. Will be back.

Changed Dchl to CO_Type=STD and RlsID=36 per Reusser. I changed this on Friday, so far so good, will update in a couple days.

2/13/06 didn't really help. Today 2/21/06 found out that when interfacing with a DMS100 there is a command on the D-channel set up that lets the DMS and the Opt81C talk to each other. When my channel showed LCKO the DMS showed idle and vicea versa. I turned on BSRV in the D-channel programing and the DMS and PBX are talking back and forth. Hopefully this is the fix. Maybe someday Nortel will be able to make is simple to program an Opt PBX to a DMS.

in your adan progframing try setting rls id to 36 for dms100

You may want to verify with your CO that they're not on DAX switch. They always tell you that they're on a DMS-100 configured off of a DAX. When this happens they either need to configure you on a real DMS-100, or the only other fix is to turn on services on the D-channel. However you will still get slips. Hope this helps.

0n 2/27/06 I turned on ENL SERV in LD96 and this along with BSRV on the d channel programming has enabeled me to turn channels back up if the are anything but idle.
