Hi all

we have problem with installing the PRI card on Option11C Rls4.5 system...so the PRI trunk is up but when we make call over it we hear noises.

we have test the same PRI card, some PRI Trunk and some configuration on other system CS1000 Rls 5.5, and then it work fine without any noise..

Please what can cause this issue...Software Rls4.5 or database..?

Thanks

Regards

Also set the Search Type in the RDB to RRB and see if it is on all the channels

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS AND AVAYA

we have test RRB option on SRCH (route) but the same problem, we have test the same PRI card, same PRI trunk and some PRI modem on other system CS1000 Rls5.5 and it work good...

may be problem of software or database..?

Thanks

yes we have try the both slot 2, 3 and 6 but the same issue.
then we have try another Cabinet and it work fine.

Thanks

Have you checked to make sure your grounding is good on that cabinet?

I have check for the grounding is good...I think there is problem on software..!!!

Are the option switches for grounded/floating set properly on the card if present? (They're there on 2Mbps cards, can't remember for 1.5 as we rarely see them in staging).

In option 11C, check the system configuration ( A-Law or Mu-Law)

LD 22 - PCML = A or MU
ATRN = 2(A-law) or 0 (Mu-Law)

ld 97 - SYSP = Yes (A-Law) or No (Mu-Law)

If the system configuration is in MU-Law, you need to configure also the PRI to Mu-Law...

Thanks Villareal for your reply, but I have (LD 97 SYSP INTN No)

is it mandatory to enable this parameters of INTN..?

On our country we use A-LAW.

Please see the printout below

Your system is setup to MU-law, the PRI should be configured as MU-law...Change configuration to MU-law from PRI side first and test. If the problem persist, you need to change the system configuratiom to A-Law since the the telcom is in A-law. Including the tones & cadence i.e. Dial tone, ringback tone, busy tone & feature tone etch...

Villareal

Changing PRI configuration is not a big deal, rather than changing the system Configuration...

Villareal

I have change the configuration to A-Law (LD 97
REQ CHG
TYPE SYSP
INTN YES

Then change the ATRN:
LD 17
REQ CHG
TYPE ATRN
CODE 2

do a reboot after this change...result: PRI work good (no noise) and loss dial tone on all sets.

Return to the initial configuration to retrieve the dial tone on the sets..

any other ideas please..?

Thanks

Change only the PRI B-channels to MU-LAW.

To change system config from Mu-Law to A-Law need to consider the following overlays:

LD 17 Parm
PCML = A

ATRN
CODE = 2

LD 97 Sysp
INTN = yes

XCTP
DTMF = 138

LD 56 FTC (Tone & Cadence)

Dial, ringback, busy tones etc
