Is there a way to prevent a user from installing a program in Citrix? Thanks

Try using Policy Editor to lock down the desktop. The default install should prohibit users from writing to vital system folders without admin priveleges anyway.

Hello,

I had this problem recently. To block users from installing applications and keep administrators privilege to get to the servers desktop I created another connection template.

1.- Template RDP-TCP --> Administrators have permisions to connect using it and are able to manage the servers. Standard users do not have permissions on this template.

2.- Template ICA-TCP --> Configured to allow access to published applications only.

It's a very clean solution if you don't want users to install apps nor accessing servers desktops and you don't mind the little protocol overhead of adding RDP connections.

Good Luck!
