In A97, is there a way to actually prevent importing of ALL objects from a MDB or MDE to a new MDB, and if so, could you please point me in the right direction to do this. "Hiding" the objects or renaming them with MSys prefix will not work for me. Thank you in advance.

From my experience when you go to File/Get External Data/Import and choose another database to import from, the Import Objects dialog lets you "Select All" for import or you can click and select only those objects you choose to import.

LSSR,

You can give the users a customized menubar that doesn't
have the import/export option on it. Of course if users
can bypass your startup logic, then this is not foolproof.
Also, The could programmatically import them.

It all depend on the sophistication of the users.

Wayne
