Hi,

Does anyone know of a reg hack that can prevent users from being able to disable virusscan (4.5.1)? Looking for a solution for both Windows 2000 and Windows NT 4. Any help/advise would be appreciated.

Thanks

Don't remember much about 4.5.1 but, IIRC, you could set a password. That surely beats editing the registry.

Theres an option that prevents users from disabling the scanner. It's in the policy pages for Virusscan 4.51.

You can also prevent the users changing any VirusScan settings via use of a password set by the policy.
