Hi,

Is there a way to prevent the following:

Users are sending mail internally on behalf of someone else by using a telnet session.

Regards,

Open the properties of the IMC and find the setting to prevent the server from relaying internet mail. There may be another setting to use also, but I don't have a server available to look at, and my book isn't handy. Look around the various tabs and buttons, though, and you should be able to figure it out.

Exchange is already protected from relaying.
I think the only solution is working with policies so that
users cannot use the telnet.exe command.

We've never found a way round this other than disabling Telnet in some way.

anyone can telnet to port 25 and create an email message,
turn off you mail server and disable port 25.

I telnet into lots of mail servers when dealing with user mail problems.. not just mine....
