Prevent Users to login into the same database on same machine > 1 1

How do I prevent users to login into the same database on same machine more than one time. I have access 2000 database and sometime users login into that database on the same machine more than one time. After that they keep it open for longer and database crashes. I have to compact and repair to bring it back up.

I like to prevent the user to login to the database more than one. I like to give them an error msg saying "You already have this database open on this machine.."

Any help will be appreciated.
