Good evening Excel Master-minds:
Is there a way to prevent users from copying workbooks that I allow them to use to perform their accounting operations? (note: they should still be able to open, change, save, and close the workbook - just not make another copy of it) - Thanks in advance

Try doing a search even on this site. This subject has come up numerous times.

The essential bottom line...no. Not if you have someone serious about getting the information.

Jeff,

Excel is not meant to be a tool for making super secure applications.

It's made for user flexibility.

You can try to circumvent native functionality, but it is difficult to do and can be defeated by a knowledgeable user.
