I need to setup a user of mine to have people leaving a voicemail to have the ability to dial "0" to transfer to his assistant or leave a message. I have never set this up for an individual user. Can someone please help????

Thanks!

If I can do it in the ICS software, instructions for that would be preferred, but I will take what I can get at this point...... Thanks!

Pressing “0” from within Voicemail would get you to the System Operator.
Therefore, his assistant would have to be the system operator.
At least this is how it works in most of Nortel's voicemail I have seen.
What version of Voicemail are you using?
I know on the NAM (VM 4.0) you can use "7" as the trigger to transfer to a designated number/extension.
You just have to allow the Mailbox to Call Forward and designate a line or line pool to use.
Then the user would set up the number they want to transfer calls to.
There are quite a few special use digits that assist in the transfer, so it might be best to have the administrator’s manual in front of you when you do this.

If Using NAM or Call Pilot user can setup a Target Attendent under Admin. when caller press"0" call will go there. Another option mayb n F983 under AA set Return to AA as "Y" & when hearing mbx owner greetg can press * key 2 rtn to AA prompt or CCR tree if enabled....This allow caller to press * + ext# to go to different ext. Mailbox owner can just state this in the personal greetg. Try this Out!

Okay, I will check out the suggestions and see what I come up with.

We already have a target operator which is our receptionsit. The issue I have to deal with is that the phone user who wants this, already has it setup, but he wants it changed to go to someone else when a caller presses "0". Right now it is setup for the caller to dial zero during his voicemail message to transfer to another extension that is not the receptionist phone set who is the designated operator on the entire system, but some how someone setup up a designated operator for this one extension and I am not sure of where to find this info on the NAM software or in the MCIS ver 5.0 software.

Anyone know where I would look to find his current configuration to see how it is setup?

Thanks for all the suggestions and help! It is greatly appreciated.

the user logs into the mailbox like checking for messages
and admin and personal attendant are the options to chose, where you key in an extension #

Okay, the user options is where this is option is at. Thank you for your help senk1s.....
