Before we upgraded our software last time, if I called in from outside the office and got someones voicemail I could hit 0 and it would transfer to our main queue. Since upgrading this doesnt work. We have also had some queue's change, so it is possible the queue it was going to doesnt exist anymore. Where do I edit this setting to make sure its going to the right place ?

On VMPro turn Intuity mode on.

Login press F9 then in the first pulldown menu select "Intuity"

The user need to enter their pincode to enter their mailbox if you select "Intuity"

So you'll need to know why someone changed it to that mode.
You can always change it back.

I checked and it IS in Intuity mode. People do in fact enter their pin's to get their mail. So what would be causing it not to work ?

Did you reboot the VMPro server after the upgrade?

There was a version in 3.1 that failed personal attendant transfer if the destination is a hunt group. Since I don't see which version you are on I thought I would toss it out.

I did reboot, its been several months (and several reboots since). I am on 3.2 (57). Where do I specify the destination ?

Maybe the bug was in 3.2.57 or 3.2.55. Do this. Goto a user form\voicemail tab and look at reception/breakout. You can define extensions to transfer to when 0 or 2 or 3 is pressed while listening to a users personal voicemail greeting. The bug was specific to transferring to a hunt group and not to a extension.

Do any of these destination fields contain hunt group numbers?

You can build a phantom extension that the is unconditionally forwarded to the hunt group number. Then enter this extension number into the reception/breakout.

Work it around baybee.

Looks like the 0 option is pointing to the wrong queue (one that no longer exists) so I updated it and it works :)
Is there any way to have it suppress the voicemail prompt for that queue's mailbox upon transfer ?

You could add the user in the vmpro client and create a new prompt in queued and still queued for the user. Or you could add one of those clever POS or ETA actions in queued and still queued for the user. Some folks like to record silence using anything other than vmpro since vmpro would prpbably truncate silence and you would have no recording. Take the silence recording and attach it to queued and still queued for the user.

A few + ways to skin that cat.

do people still skin cats?

what would you want to happen to the call if it wasnt answered after forwarding?

If the call isnt answered the queue's voicemail picks it up as far as I can tell. I didnt setup a user to get this to work, in the voicemail tab I just put in the right extension for 0, but it gives me my voicemail admin greeting upon transfer...
