Hi,
We manage a number of servers at remote sites using PC Anywhere. We have one particular server that will not reboot without intervention - pressing F1 key is required. This can be a pain if no-one is available to do this on site. The box is a Compaq Proliant 3000 running Win2k.

Any ideas how we can turn this off?

With Compaq Proliants I thought that the only time F1 needed to be pressed on boot was when there was a problem.

Fan malfunction or incorrect BIOS settings etc.

Can you find out the rest of the message?

Thanks for the info. that explains why it is happening. The box has slots for two power supplies but only has one installed so it is obviously complaining about the 'missing' one.

Is it possible to stop it doing this - i.e. is there a setting we can change somewhere?

Regards
Richard

I am far from proficient when it comes to Proliant servers, however; since the message appears during the post stages then the checks for errors will occur there too.

If there is an option to turn it off, it will be in the BIOS.
