okay, i'm new at compression so here goes nothing. i made a video for my Unit thats only about 6 min long. i exported it to an AVI file and it ended up being over 3Gigs!!! can anyone tell me the best compression to use for file size but still keep really good quality? i'm not planning to burn this to a DVD anytime soon, this will mostly just be plaid on PCs. if i need a codec plug in please let me know which one i need to get and how to properly install it. any help would be grate... my deadline is teusday!!!

If you want to play on a PC, then a reasonable choice of CODEC is WMV that can be replayed using Windows Media Player. WMV gives a good balance between quality and file size.
Export the timeline using Export/Adobe Media Encoder/Windows Media.
Pick a preset that matches your requirements. For best quality look at the Windows Media broadband options.

If your PPro is properly installed, then you should be able to follow the command path I gave in my first reply to find the Windows Media export options that I described.
If the WMV CODECs are missing, then if you haven't already got Windows Media Player installed (unlikely in XP), then now is the time to download and install to see if that fixes it.
