Hi, I'm working on a relatively short video (20 min), and Premiere crashes for no apparent reason. It doesn't freeze or affect any other programs, but just shut down. This has happened more than five times, and only when I drag or click on a clip. I've partially solved this by using autosave, but it's still a nuisance. I'm running on Win XP with 512 mb ram and 70 GB free space. I'd appreciate it if someone came up with a solution.

Hi - I have crash issues as well "...encountered an error and will close Sorry for any convenience!!!" No help in the error message it generated for email to microsoft.

I have Sony XP P4 512Ram and 90GB free! Have you any solutions?

Thanks

Have you updated Quicktime after installing Premiere? If so, try uninstalling Quicktime and reinstalling the version that came with Premiere.

actually, it happened only in that one project. It's running fine now... strange.

This is the same thing that I am having. Every time I make a few cuts and fades it wants to crash. This is annoying. Adobe said to change the codec in my computer, but how do I do that? ( I posted a separate post using just this question) (Sorry for the doublepost...but it is nutty)

I'd gladly pay you on Thursday
for a hamburger today!
