Premature loading 2

I am using a grid to display a cursor which is created within a form. How do I prevent the grid from trying to loading data before the cursor is created?

Create an empty cursor at the start perhaps?

Maybe Views are the answer, I really do not know.
All I know is I have spent far too long trying to do what should have been a simple task.

It has taken me a short time to create all the functionality required using hard coding. There are a few other things I need to add but they are additional things to the original brief.
