Hi ppl,

Please can someone knowledgeable help.....
I have a set of pages, which all use the same set of images. I have noticed that there is javascript that preloads them in each and every page. Does this mean that rather than use the browser cache, the pages are forced to retreive and save the images in the cache each time a page is opened??

I obviously want to preload them on the first page, but do I need to in all the others and is this causing poor performance?

Thanks in adv,:)

Rob

You should put it in every page, as you will never be sure what page the user will start on. The browser only goes off to the server if it hasnt got the image in cache if it has it wont go to the server, doesnt matter how many times you write it in a page or in how many pages you write the script in.
