PRE-Authorizations OPTIONS - Special Request By GM

Just want to throw this out there to see if anyone can help.

The Club owners that I IT for, have asked me to setup a terminal at the VIP/Table Service entrance door; their reason for this station is so they can Pre-Authorize the VIP patrons before they are giving a table and bottle service. I imagine it would be like opening a tab and assigning it to the table and service girl, then closing the tab at the end of the end of the customers stay.

I have aloha 6.7.64 platform. with EDC 14.1.13 BOH

Now I have noticed within the aloha manager store settings under credit cards, there is a automatic pre-auht tab; but I don't know if it will apply the pre-auth on all terminals transactions.

Basically they want to pre-authorize a bottle table service before they allow admission. Just for the VIP table bottle service.

For Pre auth in Aloha, set it to $1 and then under the amounts to increase, use $$ amounts that best match what they want to preauth

This setting will preauth for $1 you can then increase to limit you want. If you have minimums, create an open item for table minimum so you make sure they spend the required amount.
Next make sure all your credit cards will allow pre auths
