Hi,
I'm looking for practice exams on the Visual Basic Desktop Apps Exam (70-176). I want tests that can let me evaluate where I am, so i can identify the stuff I've missed (or am weak at), brush myself up on these topics, keep taking the practice exams over n over again, until I've mastered all of the questions..I want to be confident of my skills before taking the exam..I want pass them on first attempt.. I have a set of practice questions for the 70-175 exam that generates random questions..I imagine the practice tests I seek for 70-176 would also have to be something like that, in order for me to repeatedly test and assess where I am.. I know that 175 is harder than 176, and also there are a lot of overlapping areas, but I want to practice on topics that are distinct with 176.

I'm not any more interested in theory, notes, and other material, as I've gone thru sufficient amount of material.. I would really care for a book/resource that has just practice exams..

The books that I've studied from had questions but they weren't enuff.. Usually, these books have 100-130 questions and they run out.. if you don't do well in the test, you can go back and review the material, but you don't have any new questions to come back to..

Preferably, the practice exams test me in the same or a similar format to the actual MCSD test. It'd be awesome if the exams were free..I see lots of sites with practice exams offered..they sell them, some of them offer free tests but they're usually just 10-20 questions..

I do also have the experience with the tools.. I just want to practice enuff, so i can master the art of Microsoft testing and feel confident while going into the exam..
I know I should've passed my last couple of practice exams comfortably before I go into the exam..

Thank you.

Saad

"I know that 175 is harder than 176..."

Don't you believe it. For me, the desktop was mmuucchhhh harder. I took it first and the distributed was a breeze after that. I used experience, 'MCSD in a Nutshell' (excellent, and the author even commented on how suprised he was by all the package and deploy in the desktop - not an easy exam), Exam Cram (pretty good, more exam specific but not as detailed as above) and Transcender (essential!!!). Desktop was easily the most difficult to me of the 4 tests I took. Halfway through it, I was seriously contemplating 'accidentally' turning off my computer with my knee and asking for a retest (in a week!), but then I hit a run of about 20 'easy' questions I knew the answer to.

Good luck!!!

I took this exam about 2 weeks ago (and passed). It was suprisingly hard (I've been working with C++/vb for a number of years). Make sure you know the Package & Deployment stuff inside out. About 1/3 of my exam was in this area.
