Hi,

I'm a new Checkpoint administrator. I've got a R55 installed on Windows 2000.

One of my networ user have to connect to his client PPTP VPN.
So I've created a new Node with is IP adress and allow PPTP (1723) and GRE (47).

I saw that the PPTP was allowed by the Firewall but within few seconds the connection didn't work.

I don't know how to configure my firewall to allow this outgoing connection.

Thank you for your help

Silly question but I assume you are NAT translating through the Firewall.

Is the other end of the Tunnel allow the users IP address or the NAt translated address access ?

You have opened up the correct two Ports needed.

I've opened the port PPTP (1723) and the GRE port 47.
The other end of the tunnel accept all ip, I made a test at home.

I read that the TCP port 47 is not the GRE port, but on my firewall-1 the port is loke other TCP port. Maybe I made something wrong for that.

Thank you for your help.

PS : Sorry for my poor english.
