Hello All,
IM tasked with the job of setting up a new PIX506e. I have only worked with Cisco router so I was looking on the Cisco site for some example configs. Im now completly confused. What would be the best config to use for a simple VPN connection? My clients will be connecting from home either using the Cisco VPN client or using Windows VPN PPTP client. I confused about the difference between IPSEC, PPTP and L2TP.

Any Help would be appreceiated.
Thanks

Also it will depend on some of the things going on inside your world there. For example you can use the Microsoft client (its an easy connector) to get to company resources etc. It will not however do split tunneling (allowing you to go to the Internet within the same VPN session and the local resources).

Cisco's VPN client is hard to beat. It is easy to set up and robust. Can be used to connect to a router (with vpn config done on it) or firewall (same applies).

Nothing is hard to do, you just gotta know what to do.... ;)
