Hello SIP Gurus,
I have one Avaya SBC for Enterprise (ASBCE 6.2.1.Q07) used for the remote worker feature only, which talks to 2 Session Managers for redundancy.
Everything was tested fine. But all of a sudden, PPM stopped working, meaning when you log into a SIP phone, the SIP phone does not download PPM from Session Manager via SBC anymore. I don't know what caused PPM to stop working. Everything else is still working (calls, phone buttons,etc.). I know the issue is with SBC because PPM works just fine when I log into a SIP phone internally (not via SBC). The issue occurs only when I connect via SBC.
I think I had the same issue a couple of weeks before. Back then, I didn't think this was a problem until I am seeing the issue again. I am sure that once I restart the SBC application, the issue should go away. But, I am afraid the issue may come back. Trynig to determine what caused this.
Has anyone experienced this issue? Can this be caused by both Session Managers being offline due to reboot? I used traceSM and Wireshark, but no luck. Any hints would be appreciated.
