I have inherited an application written in PB6.5 which utilizes PowerPritnerV1.1 (32bit) for printing. This worked fine while users had Win95, but now that they have made the leap to W2K they are not able to print correctly. Any documentation I have found (digitalw.com) has stated that this is great for W95 and NT machines...anyone aware of any complications with W2K and if so are there any patches/newer versions?

Rose,

I'm afaraid I dont know anything about PowerPrinter, but am interested in finding out about it.

We have a number of powerbuilder 6.5 programs doing various things for printing under different operating systems, and still have a couple of print processes that only work under windows 3.11. We have used one commercial product (printdricet) to print ascii direct to dot matrix printers, and various in-house .DLL files for other purposes.

We haven't got onto Win 2K yet - what sort of printing issues are you facing there ?

James Davies.

James, Powerprinter can be found on digitalw.com and on programmersheaven.com; Thru some trial and error, we found that the printer configuration was what was causing our printing problem, not powerprinter...so, give it a try. We use the powerprinter's functions to reset the default printer (which we set up a pointer for in the ini file) for specific print jobs which need specific printers/trays (ie color, labels, etc)...
