Powerpoint Slide Numbers Not Showing UP

I have a large Powerpoint slide show (138 slides) and the page numbers are not showing up. In the "Headers and Footer" the box is checked for slide numbers but nothing shows up. Any ideas?

Hi,
Go into the Master Slide and see where the page number is located. Make sure it's not being blocked by a background or a logo or anything else.

I actually just figured it out! It was some type of version issue. I have 2003 and I tried it on a machine that had 2007 and was able to add the slide numbers, save it and open it in 2003 WITH the slide numbers. It was created in an older version so we are stumped on why this happened. But I figured it out!
