Powerpoint couldn't translate this file in Office XP

I have a powerpoint file but when I tried to open it from Powerpoint 2002, it is giving that message: "Powerpoint couldn't translate this file". If I try this file on Powerpoint 2000, it worked fine. I checked if there is an available patch from Microsoft for Office 2002 and there is nothing. I also tried to resave the file from Powerpoint 2000 and tried it on version 2002 but got the same message.

Please help.
