Powerplay stops automated cell update for formulas

As soon as I open my Excel-Workbook that is linked to our database via powerplay, Excel (MS Excel 97) is no longer able to update cells automatically.

Even if I open a new workbook, fill A1,A2 with numbers and a third cell with "=sum(A1,A2)", Excel will not update the sum in case I change the entry in A1.

I have to reenter the formula (by pressing F2 + Enter) to trigger an update of the cell.

Any help is appreciated.

Can I ask a silly question (or two):
- is the 'recalc(F9)' option selected in Excel?
- in Powerplay : what is the setting on EXPLORE>GET DATA>?

Thanks,

Thanks a lot.

In the meantime I found the reason, which was really that Powerplay must have set back the Excel recalc function to "manually". (at least, it wasn't me!!)

I didn't check that because I wasn't even aware that you can switch it off.

Learned something !!
