My ABit Motherboard (IC7-G DDR400 PC3200 184pin RAM) can be configured to accept ECC Ram, so will this 184 pin DDR400 PC3200 ECC ram operate with it?

Any HP Prolient Server fiends who go home with full pockets reading this who have tried it???? or even if their pockets are full of PDF spec sheets for these wafers (I would love them as I can grab the memory configuation of the existing non-ECC RAM using Aida32 for free

Many motherboards allow you to mix ECC with non-ECC RAM if it has the ability to use ECC. However, ECC will be disabled and ignored on the DIMM that has it.

As I posted in your other thread, it would be best to get a matching stick when possible, or at least one with the same CL (Cas Latency) rating.

The motherboard is a ABit Motherboard (IC7-G) configurable ECC function... does anyone know if this extends to mixed ECC non ECC? (not got the chips to test it out)
