PowerColor Radeon X550

Hi,

I've used PowerColor video cards before and they've worked well for me. Today I bought a PowerColor radeon X550 to put into a new computer and it doesn't always display video.

When I boot the box (which I'm just building now) the keyboard flashes and the box seems to post (even though it doesn't beep) but the video doesn't always show up. It has shown up a couple of times but it's never 100%

Any ideas what's going on? It's really frustrating!

OK - I took the video card and mobo back to the retailer - they tested both. It turns out that just the video card was dead. I ended up buying a better video card as well because they didn't have the same one.

It's funny how you can slap together a whole bunch of computers and they work fine - and then one just turns out to be the biggest pain in the butt because of bad hardware.
