hi

tried to install pcbe on netware 5.1 server

sys:\pcbe\install.jar

i received some java error, in not familiar with 5.1, all im trying to do is install the ups software for management purposes.

do i need to download the lates java.nlm, its currently on SP3

is there a workaround on this powerchute install, possibly from a workstation

I'm not familiar with the business edition but the regular version 4.33 is installed from a windows workstation. Prior to installing, map a drive to the root of SYS and point the install to that drive letter. Also make sure you know what model of UPS and the comm port it is plugged into. The install will make the necessary changes to autoexec.ncf for you. It will also create a ups object that you can see basic info on using NW admin.
 
I had the same issue and i belive the solution is to Insatll SP5. I say believe as I installed SP5 but then never got round to installing PCBE.

Try upgrading to SP5 and see if that does the trick.
