PowerBook & AirPort

oi~

i have a PowerBook with Mac OS X v10.1.5 installed. i want to utilize the AirPort i got, it works.. issue is that even if the AirPort base-station is a few inches away from the PB the signal level is not even 50%.. i would like to have the AirPort base-station downstairs in my basement where i have my other (Windows/Linux) computers and use the PB upstairs. i put the AirPort base-station on top of the stairs and go sit on the couch, maybe 3-4ft away and the signal drops completely... anyone any idea what the problem could be ? i'm currently not using the PB enough due to this issue, if more info needed maybe add how to obtain that info from the Mac.

I have powerbook g4 667 and my little girl was playing with my accounts password and has changed it, but we can't estabish what shes changed it to any ideas,, on reseting it?

hey, i had the same problem until someone opened my iBook and reinstalled the airport card. it was probably not very well installed. now it works perfectly well...
