Does anyone have a resource were I could buy the wall mounted expansion cabinet for the BCM50 that houses ( 3 ) of the power supplies. I checked online and can only find the wall bracket but not the one for the power supplies?

Thank you

If you get one, use it with caution. There was a bulletin from Nortel about them a long time ago about them being a serious fire hazard if you connected 3 power supplies to it.

Thanks I will be. Is there a safer alternative to them?

Well I looked around the net and it seems to be called a Power Supply Enclosure described as:

BCM50 Power Supply Enclosure. Holds up to 3 BCM50 power supplies. Requires a single separate power cable (not included) to connect AC power to the IEC-C14 style power input connector. Can be wall mounted when used with Small System Wallmount Bracket.

They make a single wall mount as well. I have used these by mounting them under each BCM as neatly as possible.

If its not working, get a bigger hammer!

YOu mean inside the cover flap under each module ?

I found the bulletin.

It seems not all situations of using this triple power supply enclosure are a hazard. Here is the core of the bulletin:

Background:

Nortel would like to inform its customers that the BCM50 base system products and the BCM50 Expansion are now shipping with a different power supply. There is a limitation to the use of the new BCM50 Power Supply in the BCM50 Triple Power Supply Enclosure.

This advisory ONLY applies to the new version of the BCM50 Power Supply: Acbel Model No. AD7043.

Analysis:
Nortel would like to inform its customers that the BCM50 base system products and the BCM50 Expansion are now shipping with a different power supply. This BCM50 Power Supply (Acbel Model Number AD7043) has the same form factor and specifications as the current BCM50 Power Supply, but has a higher energy efficiency rating.

If the new BCM50 Power Supply (Acbel Model Number AD7043) is mounted into the BCM50 Triple Power Supply Enclosure (NT9T4024E6, formerly NT9T4002E6), a maximum of TWO (2) BCM50 Power Supplies can be used in the BCM50 Triple Power Supply Enclosure. One of three slots in the BCM50 Triple Power Supply Enclosure MUST remain empty. This also applies if a mix of old and new BCM50 Power Supplies are used in the BCM50 Power Supply Enclosure.

Tests have shown that the inside temperature of the enclosure can rise above the specification under certain circumstances if three of the new BCM50 Power Supplies (Acbel Model No. AD7043) are installed into the enclosure which can result in a safety hazard.

This advisory ONLY applies to the new version of the BCM50 Power Supply (Acbel Model No. AD7043), previous BCM50 Power Supply versions are not affected by the above limitation. For identification purposes the new BCM50 Power Supplies (Acbel Model No. AD7043) have a warning label attached, while the previous versions of the BCM50 Power Supply do not have a warning label. Avaya recommends considering the use of the BCM50 Single Wall Mount Bracket (NT9T4023E6) as an alternative.

Nortel will discontinue the sale of the BCM50 Triple Power Supply Enclosure as of April 5th, 2010 as it no longer meets the intended purpose.

The new Power Supply can be identified through a separate warning label on the Power Supply and through the model number on the manufacturing label. The model number is AD7043. In addition, a warning notice will be included in the BCM50 Power Supply packaging.

Previous BCM50 Power Supplies which are not affected by this Product Advisory include the following models.
They can be used in the BCM50 Triple Power Supply Enclosure without limitation.

- FSP Group Inc - Model No. FSP120-AAB (Nortel PEC/CPC: N0081819)
- Acbel - Model No. API3AD05.

Note the mention of supplier and model number. This is useful for ordering replacements outside of the telecom industry, where prices are 2 to 3 times greater. Have a good day!!
