I have completed the 'tutorial' on the Power Prompts in Impromptu 6.0

I then tried to publish it to the Web but only the report shows up. I cannot get the Power Prompt application to show up.

I put the Power Prompt Information in a separate folder from the report and the catalog (per the book) but to no avail. Any help on how to get this to work in Report Administration would be helpful.

Thanks in advance,

John D.

Hi JID,
when u said u publish it to web, are you talking about the 'publish as html' feature or are u talking about PowerPlay Web....?
anyway, if u r simply publishing it as html file (to share it with other users on your network) then the saved file will be static, meaning your users can't go through the prompts....

rgds.

The powerprompts application (the .xxm file and html files) have to be in their own folder. That folder must be located in the same directory as the application's associated report. Then publish the report.

Hi JID

To publish powerprompts and the report, you must have all reports, powerprompts, catalog, any other associated files in the same folder.

Publish it just like you would IWR. Then in Upfront, you have to set the properties so that the report can use the power prompt application (ie. abc.xxm file).

go to Properties of the published report, Reports tab, Administrative, use the drop down to select the xxm file.
