Hi Im new here,

Im just wondering if anyone as heard of 'Power Over Wireless' the transfer of electricity to things such as cell phones without a cable. Ive heard its also being developed to boost RFID tags so boxes or large parts are tagged with a miniture chip which is powered wirelessly. So you can track objects throughout a production line or warehouse very easily.

Anyone heard of it??

Yup, IIRC the objects are placed on some kind of Mat, and are charged via induction.*

* I read this over a year ago, and am not an electrician, so if my terminology is wrong I apologise!
