Can anyone point me to and Avaya doc that states the power draw of the different flavors of IP phones when used in a POe enabled switch?

Off hand I don't know of a document, but I know they all fall within the standard 802.?? for PoE.

Know it's not what you're looking for, but hopefully it helps a little.

Power Consumption - Watts (IEEE 802.3af - 2003@48V).

4601, 4602, 5601, 5602 Class 2 - Typical: 3.5W/Worst 4.6W.

4602SW, 5602SW Class 2 - Typical: 4.1W/Worst 5.0W.

4606/4612/4624 Class 0 - Typical: 5.0W/Worst 6.4W.

4610SW/5610 Class 2 - Typical: 4.0W/Worst 6.0W.

4620 Class 3 - Typical: 7.7W/Worst 9.9W.

4620SW/5620 Class 3 - Typical 5.9W/Worst 8.0W.

Typical is measured off-hook sample size 1. Worst Case is analytical. Except the 4601, 4602, 5601 and 5602 all telephones had a PC attached at 100Mbps. The EU24 adds less than 1W to the 4620, 4620SW and 5620 numbers.

where did you find this info?

good stuff

Speaking of the new 3.0 toolkit, did anyone notice our humble little forum here is mentioned? :)

Peter
