After a power outage the BCM 400 I have came back up and is working BUT the voice mail is not as well as the log in page. I've tried a few hard reboots with no luck and have checked the FRU tray. The reason for that was because the 6 center lights on the front of the BCM are continuously flashing, sort of like the FRU tray senerio. Any ideas

Thank you

It sounds like your capacitors inside the BCM on the motherboard have gone faulty. It's best if you do a shutdown, pull out the board and check all of the capacitors. If you have the Green ones, then there is a good chance that they have split, leaked etc and it will need replacing.

I'm guessing that you have the older NT 3.x version?.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

You can try a new Base Function Tray and see if that fixes it, but it is likely the hard drive that's fried. Both of those applications you're referring to reside on it.

Thanks guys for the response. It is the Hard Drive, and I have no bach up. Oh well its going to be a late night

You could try connecting your BCM drive onto another computer via it's IDE cable or use a USB to IDC connector. It may be possible to bring it back to life by repeated power up attempts and if you also had any good disk imaging tools, have a go at reimaging the disk or saving a copy.

I've played with this using Acronis sector by sector method on the 400 and 50's etc.
