I have Partner ACS and Voice Messaging both release 7.0 installed at my church office. The system worked flawlessly for several years after I installed it with some help from this forum. On Saturday the "replace batteries" message displayed on ext 10 and before I was able to get to church to replace the batteries there was a thunderstorm that caused a power failure. The system will make calls and accept calls, but the voice messaging just says 'forwarding your call" calls and I believe they ring on ext 10.
I am able able to access the messaging system through the LAN PC interface. However when I try to connect to the ACS system through the serial interface the system will not accept the password. This password is of course different from the messaging system password. I have backups for both ACS and messaging systems, but without being able to connect to ACS I do not know how to go about restoring. Perhaps that is not even possible. I have tried #728 without any discernible affect. I have tried #403 to remove password, but that does not seem to help either. My ignorance regarding this system is profound.
Any suggestions for how I could get the system functioning again would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Pete
