thanks in advance.

It could be your ring generator REU, that has been switcheed off...

thanks doktor,
if it is my ring generator shouldn't it affect the ringing of @ least some phones? there is currently no such cases,this is why i am wondering.

thanks

Most of the times I see this: "102 POWER FAILURE DETECTED BY DSU" it is the ring generator...

///doktor

INF2 = 2 which means that you are missing -12V voltage.

This could be caused by a faulty extension board, pull out all boards of magazine 1 one for one and see if the alarm dissapears (except DSU offcourse). If the alarm stays then the DC-DC converter needs to be replaced.

There should be a red alarm led on the DC-DC converter (PU4DC, RG5DC, ...) in case of problems...

i have pulled out the various boards one after the other,the alarm is still there.

any more ideas?

thanks

isn't there a red alarm led on your RG5DC, if so, you must replace it.

Have you notice any problems in the system ? If not try CNREC:LIM=1,REU=NO;

CNREC will not help since the alarm is about missing -12V not about missing ring voltage.

phrankie, take a digital multimeter and measure the tensions on the testpins of the RG5DC. If you ruled out that a board in the magazine is causing this, then you have 2 options: the RG5DC is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced OR the magazine has a problem.

@mdevo
no i did not do any upgrade.

@whosrdaddy
i will do the measurement but assuming its the magazine as you mentioned, what should i do and how do i know for sure that its the magazine?

thanks again!

very simple, swap RG5DC with another magazine and see if alarm stays or moves. (if it stays it is the magazine OR some board in the magazine)
