We converted some analog lines to digital had to install new key codes and reboot our Option 11. Is there a way to shut the system down "softly", meaning via software commands, or is flipping the power switch the only way?
The reason for asking is when the system came back all of the digital lines on one of the cards had been disabled and few random ones on other cards.

you can sys load it in Ld 143, if you want to power it down make sure you get a backup to an external flash. Then just switch it off. The sysload should sort you out though. I'm guessing you can't enable the disabled cards/units in ld 32.

like bignose says... unless you can't enable them manually, a sysload is not good practice to enable phones.. Always use LD 32.

There is no good way to shut down an 11, just power it off!

I used LD 20 and the ENLU command to reenable them one by one. The card was good just the devices were disabled.
What does LD 32 do?
Thanks for the reassurance. Hard to believe there is no commands for shutting down. Push and pray!

You can also enable the card, thus all the units on it.

I have had to do this after a power cycle as well.

No command to shut down because it is not designed to be shut down. When it shuts down everything in memory gets erased and the system reloads from the last data dump. No corruption like windows. Thanks Bill

Mbrio when you say that you used LD 20 you were actually using ld 32, just like if you make a change to a digital set in ld 20 you are using ld 11. The overlays are tied together as a time saver. In Ld32 use ENLU for single ports and ENLC for cards.

Thanks for all that information, that clears up a mystery.

tnphoneman, I hear what you are saying about getting the data from the ROM but there must have been some corruption in some way if it loaded the stations as disabled. I realize it is all 1's and 0's.

By the way - ENLS (and then 0,1,2, etc.) will enable all the cards in the cabinet...
