Postscript files in PageMaker to run on Canon pcl

We recently bought a Canon 550 PCL copier.
Although my InDesign files with postscript run fine when I rip to it, my older PageMaker files do not.
I know I can convert the PageMaker files to InDesign but I prefer not to.
Is there a plugin for PageMaker 7 where I can cue to the Canon and it will print my postscript files (eps, pdfs)?

PageMaker will print to any windows printer.

If you have problems with Canon PCL printer (perhaps because you are using EPS images), then create a PDF from PM and print the PDF using Acrobat or Reader.

My issue is that the eps images do not print to the pcl. The eps images printed when we had a fiery rip. If the eps images print from InDesign, why not from PageMaker? I want to print eps images directly from PM...I don't want to make pdfs or import in InDesign. Is there a plug-in to correct this?

That's correct. The PCL driver can not interpret the Encapsulated PostScript. It is possible to create a preview which the PCL printer will print - see this FAQ:

If you wish to print the file on a PCL printer, the work around is to create a PDF from PM and print the PDF on the PCL printer.

Otherwise print to a (genuiue Adobe) Postscript printer.

InDesgin does the interpreting, not the printer driver.

PM does not have that facility. Its ancient core code was written for the PS environment.

As you are an InDesign user, leave PM behind.
