Post Message (post-msgs)

We are interested in using the Post Message option on the PBX and have gotten it to work with a couple of exceptions.

First, the documentation I was looking at says that I should hear a confirmation tone once I select the message I want to display, but I do not hear the confirmation.

Second, when the Post Message is activated I can see calls ringing into the station but when I lift the handset to place a call I get a repeated tone (no dailtone) until I turn the option off. Is that the way this feature works?

You should hear the tone.

As far as the stutter tone, that is the way it is designed to work...

The stutter tone is a reminder to the end-user that Posted Messages is active.

All the info I have found so far says I should have the confermation tone, but I just don't get it. Any clue as to what would prevent it from happening?
