Hi

Let's say I have installed MXONE TSE 3.2 SP4 multiple lims:

NTP server is set to LIM1.

In the installation, by mistake the system time and date is wrongly set.

How do i correct the system time and date (without reinstallation if possible)?

In alex:
*****************************************************
7.4.3.3   NTP
The clock time on any of the LIM should not be changed manually, because the NTP server (specified in the configuration file) will synchronize the clocks of all the LIMs, and incase the NTP server is not specified, LIM1 will serve the clock synchronization.
******************************************************

Thanks

In addition:

What are the precaution and extra necessary steps to be carried after correcting the system time and date?

1. Set the correct date and time in LIM 1 using yast (log in with root).
2. Restart the ntp service in all other LIM's. (log in with root, execute: /etc/init.d/ntp restart)

Also write the system time to the hardware clock (log in as root) on each server:
hwclock --systohc

Let's say i want to set LIM 1 (10.0.0.230) as NTP server, LIM 2 (10.0.0.232) and LIM 3 (10.0.0.234) as NTP clients.

LIM 2 and LIM 3 as NTP clients constantly polling to synchronize to LIM1 at 24 hours interval.

Can anyone of you post the standard ntpd.conf files' content for LIM 1, 2 & 3 respectively?

Thanks

Thanks cpux10.

But i suppose the NTP clients (LIM2,LIM3) are able to automatically and consistently poll and synch to the NTP server's time and date with proper settings in the ntp.conf in LIM 1, 2 & 3 respectively.

Anyone knows how?

Thanks
