Possibly wrong forum. IE6 - always offline on startup

Not sure what I did here, but every time I start ie, I get a message that no connection is available, and the choice to work offline, or try again.

Either choice is fine, I'm on DSL and the connection is always there - I'm running an Apache server with no problem.

Soooo . . . It seems to be some config snafu with IE, but I can't find it. The work offline option is unchecked, the connection is set via lan, nothing checked.

Any ideas?

Could you post back the results of an IPCONFIG /All to the Forum?

open IE - click tools > internet options > connections > remove old dialup accts if any > click LAN settings > make sure automaticly detect is checkmarked
