Hi guys,

Is it possible to view an offline backup of a 3300. I've heard about the .tar file containing berkeley db files but have had no success in trying to read or import them in to any application.

We don't always have remote access to our clients so it would useful to be able to look at COS/COR, feature codes etc... I know I could export forms but it could be a pain to try and export all forms on the system, unless there is an easy way to export all forms? This may be a solution instead of trying to manipulate the db files.

I'm open to suggestions.

Using Procomm create a telnet session to the socket for the printer LPR3. start the session and open print capture. Open another telnet session to the controller ip. From the maintenance command line type " ENA P/N " this will make anything else typed invisible. Carefully type " FO ALL /ALL /PORT LPR3 " If you look at the first session you will see all of the forms being sent to your capture file. After a couple of hours the forms should all be captured. From the second telnet session type "CNTRL C" you will be returned to the command line. Type "logout" The capture file can be bought into any word processor or spread sheet.

Thanks nytalkin,
I have tried something similar before but could never use the "ALL" as a parameter.

Even though the "ALL" qualifier seems to be invalid I can run a " FO CLASS OF SERVICE /INSTANCE 5 " which outputs stream for that COS.

I'm running MCD4.1 SP2 if that helps.

Be sure to have the space between the text and the /

I have made sure I have a space between the /. Can you confirm that you have used this on MCD software?

I don't have procomm so I'm using another program to telnet into the mitel (putty)

just checked on a 4.1 works ok
I looked at my original instructions should be as follows

ena p/n
(at procomm make sure to cancel print by hitting ESC a couple o f times)

fo all /all /port lpr3

For the life of me I still can't get this to work.

Do you log in to the telnet session using the standard "installer" username? This wouldn't be a country specific thing would it? I am in Australia.

I usualy log on as system but installer should work. Do you receive an error message? If so what is it. Does a print log error show up in the maintenance logs?

The error message is "Unknown Keyword"

There doesn't appear to be any related logs.
