Is possible to display picture attribute in Microstrategy desktop?

nlim,
I was wondering why picture is allowed in the form expressions as a datatype. I have bitmap stored in the Access database and I was trying to run a report that should pictures.. Thank you for your replying.

i'm not sure if it works in desktop, but it is easy to try it. don't forget to try both report and documents

it will probably work in web.

I think, you can store the images in BLOB types in Oracle, and display them in the place of attributes, by selecting the corresponding images- columns in Oracle through the attribute forms, using the required formulas in attribute editor.

Please let me know if it works.
Any expert comments from others are welcome.

If you are reporting via the web you can store the file in a vitual directory (maybe the Images folder in MicroStrategy Web) and then use an apply simple statement to force an <IMG src=&quot;yourpathhere&quot; />. As long as you are ultimately writing valid HTML to the browser images are fully supported. There is a valuable tech note on this.

Good luck.
