We run NB4.5 MP6 on a Windows2K server with an IBM 4560SLX tape library. The server does 2 vaults daily, a Nightly(everything backed up that night) and a Catalog Vault. Is there anyway to have NB send an e-mail when it ejects a tape for the vaults? Because unfortunately the library only has 2 mail slots but usually produces 7 tapes between the 2 Vaults. If it's not monitored closely then the tapes aren't always grabbed in a timely manor.

Possible to e-mail on media eject after Vault?

The vault can be configured to eject auto liek you have it now or a delayed vault. you cna find these options under vault management>vault name double click on vault on the ride side and select the eject tab then configure like you want it. Also you can configure for notifications to whatever emal you want there and it will also create vault reports for you as well

Yes but I am assuming that only e-mails when the vault completes, and my vault will not complete without error if the tapes aren't removed from the mailslots as they are ejected. This is due to more tapes created than mailslots in the library. There is some lag time in there, the "1" status error usually takes some time to appear.
