Possible to Choose an optgroup?

So, I'm building a category structure for a directory type of site, and I thought optgroups would be a great way of dividing up the categories (visually), but I was hoping that there was a way I could make it so they could choose the optgroup?

Or is there another solution?

Hi

Choose the [tt]optgroup[/tt] ? That sounds like entering value into a [tt]fieldset[/tt]... It is just a logical delimiter, does not represent a value. What do you want more exactly ?

Yeah... I was hoping I could change that.

I want to categories options in an easy way, but the top category needs to be choosable as well. For example:

Arts
Music
Painting
Poetry
Writing
Education
Higher Education
Instructional Facilities
Magazines
Websites

But someone may need to choose the overall category of "Education".

Any idea?

Nothing fancy, but there is not many more options than doing something like this.
