Does an end user have any recourse to prove if another person is accessing their email account? Are there audit trail settings that can be turned on through the Outlook client?

I have a user who is positive her email account is being accessed by another person. (She 's finding specific folders having been resorted - she swears she is not doing it from the web client when checking email from home.)

The problem is that the person being accused is one of the administrators for our Exchange servers. I am looking for any method that I can use to disprove what she thinks is happening before having to involve any of the admins (especially since they are a tight group, and I really am not in the mood for a conspiracy drama in my office).

Is there something I can do from the client? Or do I have to go back to an admin to have something done on the server?

I appreciate any insight anyone can offer. Thank you.

does your user account have elevated priviledges in the domain ?

I believe so. There's a good chance she's been added to the domain admin group.

as for the outlook side, well, maybe try the outlook forum... but from an administrative side, if you can install the exchange system manager tools on a local pc, then when you get down to the server --> storage group --> mailboxes, it will list last user logon.. so if someone has perms to logon to this mailbox, this will reflect it. i.e. the last logon won't be the mailbox owner...
just an idea...

Thanks for the info. I will see what I can chase down.
