Is it possible for Excel to prompt you to enter criteria for a certain field when running a query?

I have numerous Access Queries that I created that a form pops up via a Macro and you enter the date required for a query..

Can you do the same in Excel?

Thanks...

Hi,

In the CRITERIA VALUE in the QBE Grid, enter
[highlight white][tt][ignore]
[What value?][/ignore]
[/tt][/highlight]

I actually prefer a different method.

Make a LIST of your parameter values. I like to use Named Ranges.

In a cell on the sheet where you are returning the query results, outside of the table of results, use Data>Validation - List to create a Drop Down of the parameter values.

Select in the Table of query results, right-click and select Parameters. Choose the THIRD option, reference the Data>Validation cell and also check the box to execute the query when the value changes.

VOLA! ;-)
