Possible corrupt station 1

Ok so at some point I think I may have lost it.. am having an issue with one particular station. when the ext is installed on the phone sometimes it would not take it and the phone would just beep at you. If it did take this station it would reboot. ok ready for this? once it reboots it comes up with the extension number that the phone was previously assigned. but the three call appearances are of the station you entered but the number on the top is of a different number. now the number with the 3 call appearances if you call it you get the wave off ...
has anyone heard of this??? can anyone shed some light..
I am using CM 5.2 and the phone is 9620C. Thanks in advance

try 1st to remove station and then rebuild

HI. thanks for responding. Yes I have removed it and re programmed it I lost count of the times.. Also kept it un programmed for almost a year. The problem is most people would say move on and use another extension number but I can't.. this extension number is tied to the cube number so it is causing issue in a large call center to have the extension different.
any other ideas???

try this, remove it and rebuild it with that extension that keeps coming up on the top, assign a log out button, then log of that extension, then do a change extension command and see if this fixes it

Hi.. I did what you suggested. I programmed the bad extension in the change extension field. The station came up but this time there was no number at the top and before long like always the phone rebooted but this time instead of taking over the previous extension that was in the phone it went to the enter the extension number. So I put it in again and it took but still no number at the top. The phone rebooted and the process went in a circle..
I have been told by my phone vendor that this is very wierd..

it is very weird well at least it sounds like you are gaining a little, have you tried to replace the phone yet?
