This came up this morning, and I haven't found a clear answer yet. I've seen this written both ways, but what is the correct possessive form of one? As in saying, "To get on (one's/ones) high horse.
Seems I remember one of my English courses suggesting the hyphenation of a magnitude when preceded with one through nine. (i.e. seven-thousand three-hundred fifty-two) I don't know about anyone else, but it seems to make sense. Of course this could have been a lecture I gave myself in the privacy of my own mind.
