Write a needs list, what you need in a POS system (Table service vs quick service, accounts & loyalty systems? Inventory management / stock control? How many outlets / storage bins needed for inventory? How many cost centres & pricing levels needed? Labour management w. time & attendance? Availability & cost to service & maintain the system, availability of trained staff in maintaining the system... Ease of use by waiters, clarity of instruction / sorting & consolidation needs of the chef, what reporting information do you need (KPI's) and can these systems measure YOUR KPI's? WHat is the availability of replacement / spare parts as they break? What are your operational needs (Kitchen displays? Video recording of log journals?

What is the industry standard in your area and why?

These are general POS systems, there are softwares out there that directly geared toward a single industry. Clothing would be an example, while you could use these in a retail clothing store, there would probably be a product more suited, but they try and cover all the basics so the product can be used in a liquor store, retail merchandise outlet, or small grocery store. There is a Microsoft package as well. I have worked with these three but not MS to be able to comment or recommend it.

Im rephrasing my post. I'm not interested in new POS systems.
Complete Retail is a POS company and I would like any favorable or unfavorable comments about their POS product.

Do you have a link to a website?
If someone can't post a review on the product itself, maybe they may have info on the company that developed it.

What a horrible company name to try to google. "Complete Retail POS" = any retail pos company/reseller selling a complete system. I had the same issue when trying to get information on "Bar Touch". This can also confuse a customer into purchasing some other system, when in fact they were originally trying to buy from "Complete Retail POS". If the full company name in quotes doesn't get you to their website, they should change their name. And their full company name .com doesn't work either.
