Hi all,

I am trying to open some Veritas Netbackup ports on my firewall for our servers to backup onto the Veritas Netbackup server. After my research on the net, I found the these following ports are required to be open on the firewall for the clients to access the Netbackup server:

800-899, 4800-4899, 13701, 13720-13721,13782-13783

Can you please let me know whether those above ports are the ports needed across the firewall and whether there are additional ports that are also needed but not listed above?

Thanks for any advice provided.

We have several different DMZ solutions, each using the same set of ports. The main issue is getting the opened on the firewall. Those should be sufficient. I will do some digging and get the info from my firewall dude as far as the policies opened for NBU ports.

But in short, those should work.

Thanks,
Bob

In our environment, we open 13701, 13720-13724, and 13782, 13783. We use Master and Media servers, with nos. of Clients.
